DBBW’s EPL Preview: Who Will Top The Scoring Charts?

The Premier League is back! Which club do we think will win the title in 2017-18? Who will finish in the coveted Champions League spots? Which the three clubs will go down? And who will finish as top scorer and who would be the surprise packages? Relying on nothing but common sense and history, we here at KOKO Nigeria have without bias given our honest views and what those answers would come May 2018.
    The Top 3 Goalscorers
    1. Romelu Lukaku: The new Manchester United striker would finally get the gong he came so close to claiming last season but just couldn’t. Surrounded by a better caliber of players, he would be hitting the net just quite more often. The Belgian has been a Premier League mainstay for years now, joining Chelsea in 2011 when he was just 18-years-old. He’s scored goals wherever he’s gone, be it West Brom or Everton, and has gotten pretty good at it too.
    2. Harry Kane: Harry Kane is most pundis’ favourite to be the Premier League’s top goalscorer next season – and win the gong for the third year in a row. But he most like would fall just short. In his four top flight seasons, the 24-year old is scoring progressively season-by-season – 2013-14 (Kane goals 3), 2014-15 (21), 2015-16 (25) and last season 29. So he might score 30+ this season and just beat Lukaku to the golden boots.
    3. Alexis Sanchez: Whether he goes to Manchester City or he stays, Alexis would still have a banging year but suspicions are starting to rise that maybe he won’t be quite settled at the start of the season with the weight of the summer speculations telling on his performances. The slow start might just cost him. The Chilean has one year left on his contract though and if he does not move, he might be looking to close his Arsenal career with a bang.
