Nigeria has been announced to have gotten its first ever float at the popular Notting Hill Carnival in the UK. The Notting Hill Carnival which has been taking place since 1966 celebrates the Caribbean community. Said to be Europe’s biggest street festival, the party is filled with loud music, plenty of street food, spectacular costumes and parade processions.
However, this year’s float will be celebrating the life of legendary Afrobeat musician Fela Kuti as dancer Ezinne Asinugo made this known in a video via her Instagram page. Ezinne added that Fela’s daughter Yeni Kuti will be around to lead the choreography for the day. See the video below:
