The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board and relevant stakeholders are to meet in the next two weeks to decide on the cut-off point for admissions into universities and other tertiary institutions. JAMB spokesperson, Mr Fabian Benjamin, in a statement on Sunday in Abuja said the Board has obtained the approval of the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu to hold the Policy Committee meeting on 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) admission. He explained that the meeting is scheduled to hold on Monday 21st to Tuesday 22nd August, 2017.
According to him, the meeting would kick start the 2017 admission exercise and the policy committee would announce the cut off point for the 2017 admission exercise after the brainstorming session. Benjamin said all stakeholders including Vice Chancellors of Universities, Rectors of Polytechnics and Monotechnics and Provosts of Colleges of Education would be in attendance adding that the Board has sent to all institutions a soft copy of printout of candidates who choose them.
