Lagos-Bound Passengers Kidnapped In Rivers State By Gunmen

Gunmen on Monday kidnapped 15 occupants of a Lagos-bound bus belonging to ‘God Is Good’ Motors. This was confirmed by the Rivers State Police Command. It was reported that the passengers and the driver were ambushed and kidnapped on their way from Lagos, at Elibrada, along the East-West road at Emohua. They were reportedly ordered out of the vehicle before they were marched into the bush.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nnamdi Omoni said, “Our men have been deployed to comb the bushes in Elibrada and the surrounding environment in search of the victims and we assure you that we will rescue them.” Omoni also said the police will beef up security along the road to ensure there is no repeat of any kidnapping incidence in the area.
