Muhammadu Buhari Allegedly Promises To Resign If His Health Does Not Improve

Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, has reportedly said that he may resign if he fails to recover from his supposed illness.
The sick President had left Nigeria for London on May 7 on a medical check up, leaving Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo to take over the affairs of the country. Although the president has made immense improvements in the last couple of weeks, he has however told one of his close aides that if he doesn’t recover on a particular date, then he will tender his resignation letter.The president who is allegedly not desperate to cling on to power has been advised by doctors to continue with the treatment while Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo presides over the affairs of the nation. It was also reported that when the president was transmitting the second letter of his medical vacation to the leadership of the National Assembly intimating it of his trip to London, he wanted to transmit a letter of resignation but a retired General from Taraba advised him not to do so.
