Votes of the Kenyan general and presidential election are being counted after a day of long queues and little trouble amidst fear of the violence that followed the disputed 2007 election.
Incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta is hoping for a second time in office, but faces a tough challenge from his long-time rival Raila Odinga. Some of the votes have already been unveiled by the polling site but it could be days before the full result is known. Here are some of the round one results:
1. Uhuru Kenyatta : 904477 votes (57.54%)
2. Raila Odinga : 656293 votes (41.75%)
3. Joseph William Nthiga Nyagah : 3249 votes (0.21%)
4. John Ekuru Longoggy Aukot : 2569 votes (0.16%)
5. Mohamed Abduba Diba : 2232 votes (0.14%)
6. Japheth Kavinga Kaluyu : 1342 votes (0.09%)
7. Shakhalaga Khwa Jirongo : 1026 votes (0.07%)
8. Michael Wainaina Mwaura : 752 votes (0.05%)
