Ogenyi Onazi Reportedly About To Join English Side Birmingham

Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi is close to joining English Championship side Birmingham, the manager Harry Redknapp has revealed. According to Sky Sports, Redknapp is confident that they will complete a deal for Onazi before the end of the week.Birmingham have reportedly agreed a £4m fee with Onazi’s club Trabzonspor with the midfielder expected to fly into England on Friday, August 11 for a medical. Onazi joined Trabzonspor from Lazio last summer and made 32 league appearances scoring two goals.The 24-year-old fell out with Trabzonspor over unpaid wages which led him to terminate his contract on Tuesday, July 4. The issue was later resolved but the midfielder had already set his sights on leaving the Turkish club. He was linked with a move back to Italy with Fiorentina.
