According to a new study, intending businessmen who leave the jobs where they are being paid without establishing their business first are setting themselves up for failure, while those who maintain their regular job while launching their businesses are less likely to fail than those who those who leave their jobs.
It has been maintained by scholars that those who transit to full-time self-employment have much rates of survival relative to those who quit their job and then directly start a new company.
This is because there is always a risk factor when launching a new venture. This study claims that you don’t need to thrive on risk in order to be successful in business.
This is because just because you think that your business area is great does not mean that every other person has that thought.
According to the study, it is better to take your time and test the waters first so that if things don’t turn on fine at the end of the day, you won’t end up broke and jobless.
Try to make some commitments first. Make small commitments at first and feel out your working style and skills and also test out the demands for your product without putting all your eggs in a basket.
Note that another advantage of this is that you would have additional income to support the business.
Therefore, stay safe by keeping your day job at least till your business becomes successful.
