Ferrari has unveiled the Portofino, its new replacement for the California which did not really get much love from car enthusiasts even if it was a sales success. The hard-top convertible accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is 318 km/h.
The Portofino weighs significantly less than the California model as a result of an all-new chassis. It also has a more aggressive look, seemingly heavily influenced by the aerodynamics department. Ferrari has not announced pricing for the Portofino, but it is expected to occupy the same low-$200,000 (approximately 72 million Naira) range as the car it replaces.
Inside the leather-heavy interior is a 10.2” touchscreen display, a new flat-bottom steering wheel and 18-way adjustable seats with a backrest design that’s supposed to improve rear legroom. Ferrari also threw in a new air-conditioning system, and a new wind deflector that cuts air flow (and noise) inside the cabin by 30 percent with the top dropped.
