The Trailer For Kit Harington’s New Show, Gunpowder, Is Out

The first pictures for the adaptation of the Guy Fawkes and co.’s failed gunpowder plot story have finally arrived, starring Game of Thrones’s Kit Harrington. In what is one of Britain’s best-known tales, the show is set in 1605 and explores the planning and failed execution of blowing up Parliament.Gunpowder follows Robert Catesby (Harington) as he struggles as a Catholic man in Protestant England, which was dragging him to the edge of financial, social, and psychological ruin. After the death of his wife and father, he begins recruiting friends and family to help him carry out the now infamous Gunpowder Plot.
The 17th-century thriller will delve into the history behind the evolution of the plot, the band of rogues who planned to carry it out, and the challenges they faced in trying to make it happen. Watch the trailer below.
