The Nigerian Senate on 25 July, passed the Nigerian Peace Corps bill on an advice by the committee on judiciary, human rights and legal matters.
The upper legislative chamber adopted a conference committee report on the bill before passing the bill.
The bill which had been long overdue had suffered a lot of setback in the past.
Recall that in May, Nigerian Senate, postponed the passage of Nigerian Peace Corps Bill, over the allegation of fraud in the recruitment exercise by the organisation.
