French President Spends 11Million Naira On Makeup Since Assuming Office Two Months Ago

Since Emmanuel Macron became President of France in May 2017 he has spent approximately €26,000 euros (approximately 11million Naira) on make-up, an amount that has left many blushing. French magazine Le Point claimed this amount was spent on a personal make-up artist who was “hired to beautify” Macron.After the report in Le Point, presidential aides insisted there was no cover-up and that the makeup artist had been called in as “a matter of urgency”. Future cosmetic bills would be “significantly reduced”, they insisted.“The sum covers various services including press conferences and foreign trips where the person concerned has to travel with him,” one official told journalists. The official admitted the bill was “high … but less than his predecessor’s”.
