SAD-Singer, Natalie Cole’s Son, Robert Yancy Dies Barely Two Years After Her

Robert Yancy, son of late singer, Natalie cole has passed on at the age of 39. Robert was found dead inside his San Fernando Valley apartment on Monday by a friend who was concerned about the fact that he had not heard from the young man for a few days. Robert was also the grandson of legendary jazz singer Nat King Cole, and an accomplished drummer in his own right who worked in the music industry. His death comes just 20 months after that of his mother.

A source who was close to him said, ‘he told me he was very depressed about his mother’s passing, saying she was the best mom in the world and he loved her deeply and he didn’t want her legacy to fade away.
He wanted to remind people of how great Nat and his mom were. He felt they were underrepresented in the music world.’ Reports has it that Robert’s death was the result of a heart attack, which also caused the death of his father Marvin back in 1985 at the age of 34.
