    Today’s travel takes us to Plateau State, the twelfth largest state of Nigeria, popularly known as home of peace and tourism. As we look into Plateau we will be listing five of the things that made it a potential tourism destination in Nigeria:
    Waterfalls:
    There are several natural waterfalls within the state but the most popular are Assop Falls and Kurra Falls among others. Assop Falls is 70 km along Jos-Kagoro road on the top of the Jos Plateau while Kurra Falls on the other hand is man-made, resulting from tin mining activities.

    Rock Formations:
    There are several hills and natural rock formations in Plateau State with each qualifying to be treated on its own account. But the most popular among these are the Shere Hills, Wase Rock, and Riyom Rock formation among others.

    Wildlife Parks:
    Plateau state has several wildlife parks but the most popular are the Jos Wildlife Park, Jos Zoological Garden, and the Pandam Game Reserve and Lakes. As the Jos Wildlife Park and Jos Zoological Garden features rare and exotic collection of animals, the Pandam Game Reserve and Lake is the best place for sports fishing and relaxation.

    Naraguta Leather Works:
    The Naraguta Leather Works would show you the secrets of how the hides and skin of animals are transformed into leatherwork. This is where some of the man made leather products are made. There is hardly any type of leather work that you would not be able to see here.

    Kurang Volcanic Mountain:
    Located about 88 km from Jos Township, the Kurang volcanic mountain is a delight place to visit in order to see the natural springs. In fact, SWAN bottle water is bottled right at this natural spring, and it is rich in natural minerals and other organic properties.
