Kendrick Lamar has highest VMA nominations

Kendrick Lamar is leading the pack of nominees at the MTV Music Video Awards this year. He has eight nominations for his, “HUMBLE” video including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year and Best Hip Hop Video of the year.

Others who are in contention for the Video of the Year Award are: Bruno Mars, “24K Magic” , Alessia Cara, “Scars To Your Beautiful”, DJ Khaled f. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, “Wild Thoughts”, The Weeknd, “Reminder”.

For the Artist of the year, Lamar is up against, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd and Lorde. For Best Hip Hop Video of the year, Lamar’s “HUMBLE” is competing with Big Sean, “Bounce Back”, Chance the Rapper, “Same Drugs”, D.R.A.M. ft. Lil Yachty, “Broccoli”, Migos ft. Lil Uzi Vert, “Bad & Boujee”, DJ Khaled ft. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne, “I’m The One”

Following in second place behind Kendrick Lamar’s eight nominations are The Weeknd and Katy Perry, both of whom have five nominations this year.
